SEO STRATEGIST

Role Overview:

Netbiz Group is a leading digital agency providing web design and internet marketing services to a wide variety of industries.  Due to the expansion of our team, a great opportunity has arisen for an SEO Strategist to work on a full time permanent basis on a variety of in-house SEO campaigns. 

The ideal candidate would provide insight to direct all areas of Search Engine Optimisation.  You must be passionate about search and also have an in-depth understanding of search engine algorithms, SEO and other factors which influence high rankings. 

As the SEO strategist, your main roles would be to analyse a client's website and to identify SEO opportunities in the client's market and develop plans. You would be involved in the implementation of SEO techniques with the support of in-house copywriters and content administrators. You would also produce regular reports on the performance of the campaign as well as reporting progress to the team and answering any questions from the client.

Essential skills:

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in a commercial SEO role
• Strong technical background with solid understanding of Search Engine Optimisation and demonstrable skills using SEO tools and core SEO tactics.
• Demonstrable success in delivering winning strategies and results for clients.
• Ability to analyse site structure and code for the purpose of increased "crawl-ability".
• On-page, off-page optimisation and link-building - using white-hat SEO tactics.
• Experience monitoring and reporting on campaigns using Google Analytics, Microsoft Excel and other tools.
• Desire to remain up to date with SEO developments & search engine algorithm changes.
• Ability to work on own initiative to devise successful strategies. 

Desired skills:

• Experience with CSS and JavaScript.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Copywriting experience.
• Knowledge of how other marketing activity (eg social media) can impact upon SEO.

Salary - Negotiable, depending on experience

 

PHP WEB DEVELOPER

This exciting role is an integral part of the business, developing systems, interacting with clients and working with the management team delivering the best technology to our clients. The ideal candidate would possess all the technical skills mentioned below and needs to be self motivating and able to work without being under strict supervision. We are looking for a candidate that is creative, open-minded and interested in advancing our web development techniques with the latest web technology.

Essential skills:

• Commercial PHP experience (OO PHP desirable)
• MVC / Framework experience (CodeIgniter / Symfony 2)
• Strong knowledge of HTML (XHTML / HTML5), CSS, XML
• Apache configuration and Linux command line experience
• Experience with AJAX techniques using modern JavaScript frameworks (jQuery)
• Version control (Git)
• Can successfully write secure well engineered code.
• Write well documented easily readable code.
• Experience with MySQL.
• Proficient implementing and writing service API’s using JSON or XML.
• Familiar with mobile web browsers and mobile web applications.
• Familiar with W3C standards and best practices.
• Ability to translate business requirements into system design/specification documents.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong debugging skills and the ability to easily and quickly read and modify existing code 

Desired skills:

• Experience in custom built CMS & eCommerce systems
• Experience with a variety of payment gateways
• Shell scripting
• SEO (Link Building / On-Site)
• Unit / Functional Testing
• Project Management Software (BaseCamp)
• Experience with integration into 3rd party systems; stock management, booking systems, flight database, property database
• Experience of Google Apps
• Practical knowledge of Adobe products, mainly CS5

WEB DESIGNER

The main roles of this position would involve designing web pages and promotional material for online and offline marketing campaigns for our clients. The work is diverse and interesting as we work with clients across a variety of industries nationwide. 

The ideal candidate would have a strong creative flair and be confident communicating with clients. An excellent grasp of the concept of brand identity is essential, with an ability to work alongside our web developers and marketing strategists to produce innovative web design material.

Essential skills:

• Commercial web design experience.
• Sound knowledge of the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, Indesign).
• Experience designing responsive web pages, website banners and email templates.
• Experience working with Content Management Systems.
• Positive professional attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask and work to deadlines.
• Desire to remain up to date with SEO developments & search engine algorithm changes.
• Good attention to detail and ability to produce work to the highest standard. 

Desired skills:

• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery).
• In-depth knowledge of current design trends and techniques.
• Design experience for mobile devices.

Based in the Midlands & North West.

Self motivated, ambitious, professional sales executives are required for our rapid growing company. You must have a proven track record in B2B sales. You must be IT literate in order to demonstrate our bespoke Content Management and eCommerce systems to clients.

A quick understanding of clients’ business models is essential in order to indentify the best type of Internet solution suited to the client, as well as demonstrating our effective search engine results, along with other forms of online/offline marketing.

A flexible and hard working attitude is required, as you will be required to attend breakfast meetings, exhibitions & sales meetings (which may fall outside normal office hours).

Working Hours & Holidays - FOR ALL ROLES

Our working hours are Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
Holiday entitlement – 20 days plus Bank Holidays
